When I was 6 or 7 (19 or 18 years ago) my uncle rented a video tape of a movie about aliens or alien technology, I’m not very sure. I think that at the beginning there was something about many people dreaming about these dome shaped things (ships is my guess) coming from the sky, this part of the memory is very blurry so I don’t know if it’s from the same movie. Anyway, next I remember an excavation where they find some kind of a wall (of a space ship?) that sounds like metal when you hit it with something metallic but is “soft as skin/leather”. Then something happened to someone (the main character I think) and he ended up with something strange on the back of his neck (I think it was connected in some way with wall/ship), that turned out to create some kind of armor suit around him when he needed it. After that I remember only random details: the suit had something on the forehead that shot laser beams; someone else got another armor suit so they tried to kill the main character.

The movie was in color, probably in English.
