The woman is black, the man is white.  (race is NOT an issue in this movie). He has a old vintage pick up, and refuses to drive on the highway with it, so they take back roads. Her family ends up believing she has been kidnapped. Very funny clean movie. On the trip she does way too much talking, he does not do enough, of course by the end of the trip they are good friends. Its a hallmark style movie, but does not carry the hallmark label
