WARNING: LONG WINDED, PLEASE BE PATIENT!
There was a movie I saw several years ago, possibly one of my favorite horror movies ever, and I cannot remember the title for the life of me!
I viewed the movie that a friend recorded, therefore I don’t know if it was a TV movie or not. We watched it back in 2012 I believe, but I don’t know if it was new at that time. It was a low budget movie (not overproduced/overdirected), and I don’t recall it being from a big production studio. The movie was in English and in color.
The plot goes something like this, but this is pretty faint, as I’ve only seen the movie once;
The movie (a horror/thriller movie) begins with a couple (white male and female) in a diner talking over a meal. When the camera spans out, it shows they have murdered everyone in the diner. This woman has previously broke her boyfriend out of prison with some type of diesel truck (it’s important to note that during this flashback he envisions her as an angel with wings), and they go on a trip to an old, abandoned town the man grew up in to recover some money they have stashed in a crypt, I believe. During their trip the man has flashbacks of his abusive, overly religious mother, which is revealed he killed her in the diner earlier in the movie. At the end of the movie the man completely goes insane once they arrive to the ghost town and he ties up his girlfriend and tortures/kills her and the movie ends with him lying down saying something like “now the only hold the devil has on me now is hurting the ones I love”.
Another random, unimportant scene I remember from the movie is the man and his girlfriend in a hotel room, shortly after she broke him out of prison, and she’s lying on the hotel bed trying on his rings.
I have pretty much given up all hope that anyone will remember this super-awesome movie, but if you so happen to know the title, PLEASE GIVE ME SOME GUESSES. Gah, I’ve been searching for years!
Thank you!
