I’m hoping someone can help me remember this pretty random made for TV movie. The movie was about a red headed teenage girl (think Claire Danes in My So Called Life) who falls in love with an older guy who is the lead singer of a 90s grunge band, kind of a Curt Kobain wannabe. At first he ignores her but as time goes on he realizes he is in love with her. In the end she realizes she can do better and dumps him to go off to college.

I can remember a few random scenes from the movie, one of she wears a cow-print dress  that is embarrassing to start. Later in the movie she sees a ton of other girls wearing the dress to copy her after she started dating the guy in the band. Any help would be great!
