My first of many scattered childhood memories I’m trying to figure out.
I believe this was a film, seen on TV in either late 80s or early 90s. A black guy – he may have been an athlete – becomes quadriplegic, and is trying to learn to cope with his new life. I only remember one scene, where he is in his hospital room, alone, and a fly lands on him, possibly his face. He freaks out at not being able to swat it or do anything to get rid of it, and possibly screams out in frustration. In the image in my mind, it was very warm in the room, and he was sweating.
That’s all I’ve got, I’m afraid. Hope this rings a bell with someone!

Sorry, mispost. Meant for another thread.
“Blackenstein” (1973)?

Not an altogether bad suggestion, though I believe the movie I’m thinking of was more of a personal drama of overcoming adversity – your average Lifetime movie, pretty much. Also, I watched it with my mom, a drama buff, and I don’t think she’d have watched Blackenstein, let alone allow her elementary school kid to watch it! 🙂
Thanks, though!
Yeah, sorry about that! What a terrible guess. I just don’t have any idea on this one.
