I remember seeing this years ago. The protagonist worked in a factory in Britain, he had a make work job of cleaning one toilet, the rest of the day he just hung around. I think it was a futuristic satire. He figured out he could grow mushrooms on the steam pipes. Ended with a big hallucinatory scene.
