I remember watching a 60’s type Western Movie about a mountain man and a woman who runs away from her community because she didn’t want to get married to the town dweeb.  She almost dies on some rapids, but the mountain man saves her and they start this relationship.  At first it’s antagonistic, they fight, he orders her around a lot.  But then, she starts to become a real partner.  He gets seriously wounded and she takes care of him.  When he tries to make love to her, she runs.  She goes back to her town and decides to marry the dweeb, but on the day of the wedding she runs – right back to the mountain man.  I really liked this movie, but I can’t remember the title or the actors.  I thought the female lead was Sara Miles, but it’s not.
