been trying to find this movie for ten years. Legit.
It’s a weird movie, and I remember a weird house and fire? With some weird creature people. (pretty old). And, at the very end the guy wakes up and basically the whole thing was just a dream.

This is a wild guess, but I think maybe you’re remembering one of the versions of the Wells story “The Island of Dr. Moreau.” There are weird houses and fires and especially weird creature people featured in them.
I don’t remember the endings as well, but I think in at least the first two the gentleman is rescued, and can’t accept that what happened was true, or at least can’t convince other people.
