… wilderness and try to cross a border for safety?
I can’t remember or find this movie that I watched as a child in the 90s and then again on VHS in 2002 at school. So I’m pretty certain it was released in the 90s and starred two white women (I think one or both had short blonde hair) and they’re both English or American in the movie (I think). They both find themselves in Africa or Asia on volunteer work or business (seriously can’t remember) and get captured at some point by men who may or may not shave off the women’s hair and make them do physical labor with other Slaves before the women find a way to escape. The rest of the movie is about them journeying through the wilderness/jungle/etc to flee from the people who captured them (who are also following them?) in order to find safety and get back home. I think one woman gets injured in the leg, making it harder to run and hide. I think the movie ends with them crossing a river and a border or finding a safe camp. I have a feeling that the title of the movie is several words long, like a sentence, but i’m not 100% sure. I also don’t know what time period the movie was set in, but maybe around the 90s or 80s, based on the clothes the women were wearing before being captured. The movie was filmed in color and in English.
