A movie I saw in the 70’s at the theatre and then only once on the t.v. It was about a man who lived in Paris, and was a hitman for hire. He had a manservant, a standover guy and a prostitute as part of his group that helped him in his “job”. This man was approached by a man with a job but had to move to London ( I think), so to tie up loose ends, the hit man arranged for his “helpers” to kill one another, he then caught a taxi to the airport, reading the brief of what was expected of him. He had the habit of licking his fingers as he turned pages and when he got to the last page, read that he was considered not to be trusted for the way he had treated his friends, and the pages were laced with poison. When the cabbie opened the door at the airport he fell out dead.
