I remember not much about this movie, but I know it was an animated movie in english about some boy going on a quest to save the world, pretty typical, except the villain had some sort of magic pit or something, and when he threw one of his minions in with a sword, the minion would come out with swords for arms or something.
Sounds like “The Black Cauldron” to me.
