Hey all, hope you cam help me out with this movie.

I remember seeing this movie when I was a kid so 20 years ago or so. It is from the late 70s to 80s range and it’s in color.

I remember a police officer or sherrif driving a typical 4×4 truck doing a routine check on a house with a kidnapped woman in the basement of the house. She is kept in a large fenced in cage and given food and water daily. I think she is given remedial tasks like sewing or the ability to read books and so forth.

As the officer shows up she makes efforts to notify him she is kidnapped but the officer can’t hear her.

He does however get some sort of a tip off and goes back on a gut feeling and rescues her. I believe the capture and the officer get into a shoot out.

I was thinking Chuck Norris but couldn’t find any plots close to his starring roles.
