I have been trying to figure this one out forever and just can’t!

I don’t have a lot of information to put forth so I apologize. I watched it when I was around 15 I think so I saw it around 12 years ago. I don’t think it was playing on regular TV because I don’t remember commercial interruptions, I may have seen it on HBO but once again I’m not sure.

I’m pretty sure it hails from the 80’s but I’m not 100% positive. All I can remember is this:

• The movie was set in a futuristic society.
• There is one scene where “the mother” in the movie is scolding her teenage daughter for overuse of a product they call jelly. It’s something that is used for cosmetic reasons.
• The only other scene I remember is of the son I think – he has a black eye and uses a machine that removes it possibly by some sort of sucking mechanism.

That’s all I’ve got. I’ve tried many times looking for it on Google using those two scenes I described but have obviously not been successful. I’ve gone through countless lists like “50 weird SciFi movies from the 80’s” and still nothing. I hope this clicks for someone out there so I can finally rewatch this movie! Thank you.
