I remember only one brief scene. A couple of technicians have discovered a satellite signal that carries a video of a woman being tortured. The woman is naked and of an Asian nationality, her two torturers look like they’re part of a secret police unit. The signal is soon lost: one of the techs grudgingly admires the encryption by saying “it_snubbed_us !” They speculate that the signal or the satellite may be from Indonesia.
The movie was probably made in the late 1970’s or sometime in the 1980’s.
This movie came back to my mind when, not long ago, I read something online about an old movie that describes a secret satellite channel where the powerful and wealthy can watch people being tortured. It was probably a political drama: the torture scene had the look of being political in nature rather than sexual or sadistic.
